Meet the Author

Hi, I’m Jen.

By day, I’m an HR professional. By nights and weekends, I’m collecting the ordinary moments that make up an actual life — the ones that don’t make headlines but somehow end up mattering most.

I live just outside Atlanta with my husband and our five animals, who are responsible for at least half the chaos and all of the joy in our house. I’ve been to 14 national parks so far, with Acadia set to make 15 this year — and I’m counting down to a trip to Paris this September.

Currently

• Reading: Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas and something delightfully unserious at the same time, because apparently my ADHD brain refuses to read just one book like a normal person

• Baking: regrowing my sourdough starter after letting it sit a little too long (RIP, we don’t talk anymore)

• Planning: Paris & Maine

• Dreaming about: wherever park number 16 turns out to be

I don’t always remember dates. I don’t always remember what someone was wearing. But I can tell you exactly how a moment felt — and that’s the thread running through everything I write here.

My therapist once told me I should write a book. I’m still deciding if this is the first draft.

If you’re the kind of person who journals in coffee shops, has a stack of unread books by the bed, and still isn’t quite over your last trip — I think we’ll get along.

A woman with curly dark hair and glasses sitting on a stone ledge beside a small river in a quaint town. She is wearing a tan coat over a blue sweater and a patterned skirt, smiling at the camera. In the background, there are old stone houses lining a narrow road, and a church with a tall spire visible above the rooftops. The scene is set during daylight with clear blue skies and lush green trees.
